Anar Janmammadov

Anar Janmammadov is a seasoned legal expert with over 15 years of experience advising foreign corporations and international financial institutions on both contentious and non-contentious matters. Known for his robust litigation skills, Anar has successfully represented foreign companies before Azerbaijani courts in tax disputes, debt recovery, employment issues, property conflicts, and intellectual property enforcement. His strategic approach has also been instrumental in resolving disputes outside the courtroom, including negotiating a US $8.5 million settlement on behalf of a South Korean construction company with an Azerbaijani state entity.

In addition to his litigation practice, Anar has a proven track record in transactional law. He has advised leading financial institutions, including EBRD and BSTD, on project financing and both secured and unsecured loan transactions. His expertise extends to complex M&A projects, such as representing a multinational insurance company in the acquisition of a major shareholding interest in one of Azerbaijan’s top insurance firms.
