Kamal Huseynli is a partner at MGB Law Offices and joined the firm in 2014. He has more than 15 years of experience in advising on corporate, finance, banking, investment, energy, data protection and tax-related statutory requirements and compliance issues. He is also experienced in drafting and review of various contracts such as sale and purchase, distributorship, loan, lease, financial lease, security agreements.

Kamal advises multinational/international financial institutions on conventional and non-conventional energy projects and projects in other industries including project finance /secured loan financing in Azerbaijan. The most recent experience includes advising and due diligence in respect of financing (i) one of the major banks of Azerbaijan by ADB, (ii) the borrowers operating (a) the 230MW solar plant in Azerbaijan by the syndicate of international lenders (ADB, EBRD, ADFD, JICA), and (b) the 240MW wind power plant in Azerbaijan by the syndicate of international lenders (EBRD, IDB).

He was engaged in a number of corporate restructurings of companies with foreign investments and advising clients on anti-trust and tax regulations.

Kamal also represented a number of foreign and local companies before the Azerbaijani courts in debt recovery, employment, customs, insolvency and other type of disputes.
